Ajna Chakra: Your Third Eye Chakra Unveiled
Is it hard for you to decide on important matters? Do you have trouble trusting your gut? If you said yes, then perhaps it’s time to help balance your Ajna chakra.
Ajna Chakra
The Ajna Chakra, pronounced ‘Agya Chakra’, is the seat of our consciousness, perception, and intuition. Ajna means “command” or “authority.”
We usually focus on this energy center when we meditate. And as we do, our minds become clearer and calmer.
It’s the 6th of the seven chakras in the body and it’s positioned right between your eyebrows. While our two eyes capture our past and present, the Ajna chakra visualizes the future. It goes beyond the physical senses.
The color associated with this chakra is Indigo. This color represents wisdom and higher knowledge. Moreover, it’s the pathway to the Divine.
When it comes to its natural element, it’s related to light. You have that “light” within you. When you connect to your Ajna chakra, you become more aware of everything around you, transcending into a higher level of understanding.
Do you know the symbol for the Third Eye Chakra? It’s a lotus flower with white petals symbolizing nadis (energy channels) Pingala and Ida. Also, the seed mantra OM is placed at the center of an upside-down triangle to represent spiritual enlightenment.
Third Eye Chakra Imbalance
When we become greedy for material things, we get disconnected from our true selves. Expectations, past traumas, impatience, and other negative thoughts block our vision. This spiritual disconnection leads to Ajna Chakra’s imbalance.
With an underactive Third Eye Chakra, you may feel confused, anxious, overindulgent, or mentally foggy. Also, you may feel like you’re stuck and have trouble reaching your goals.
Meanwhile, if your third eye is overactive, it can lead to dissociation from reality.
Healing Your Ajna Chakra
To balance your third eye chakra, you need patience and strong spiritual will.
If you have an overactive third eye chakra, you need to spend more time immersing yourself in nature. Connecting with the earth can calm and ground your heightened energy.
On the other hand, you need to meditate somewhere peaceful when your Ajna Chakra is underactive. In addition, writing and keeping a journal can help.
Another way to achieve balance is through healing crystals. Some crystals you can use are labradorite, lapis lazuli, and amethyst.
Labradorite can help you tap into your third eye chakra to strengthen your intuition and raise your awareness about spiritual energies. In addition, it protects this chakra from negative forces.
In contrast, lapis lazuli helps you gain self-awareness and encourages clear communication. Lastly, amethyst can help renew your spirit by making a passageway between the Crown and Third Eye Chakra, allowing energy to flow through. You can also use it for self-reflection, focus, and meditation.
Speaking of meditation, Everybody in Mind Wellness Center offers Ajna Light meditation to help you get into a calm state of mind. You’d get to listen to binaural beats while flickering lights help your brain relax.
Other ways to restore balance are Reiki, yoga, sound therapy, and acupuncture.
